Accommodation

This Delightful Property is built in the traditional Quercynoise style, with a Pigeonnier. It comfortably sleeps ten people and is furnished with agreeable luxury. The house offers five bedrooms, two doubles, two twins and one room with bunk beds suitable for children.

There is a magnificent beamed lounge/dining room, a charming and well equipped, beamed kitchen, two bathrooms and three toilets. There is also a well-equipped laundry. Outside there are two long terraces, perfect for outdoor dining and equipped with a barbeque. The whole property is centrally heated.

The Upper Floor

The Splendid Lounge/Dining Room has a large inglenook fireplace of the local Quercy stone and two sets of French windows opening onto the west facing upper terrace and another window facing south, all with breathtaking views. It is equipped with TV, satellite (BBC), DVD and video.

The Kitchen/Breakfast Room is a light and lovely room facing south and east with a door opening onto the covered south facing terrace. It is very well equipped with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and wood-burning stove.

The Large Upper Terrace has outstanding views over the valley and is furnished with table and chairs for outdoor dining and is scented by the oleander and lemon trees that spend the summer there.

  • Bedroom One is a charming, airy double bedroom situated in the Pigeonnier with aspects to the south and west offering wonderful views of the valley below. It also has French windows opening onto the terrace. The bed is a large size double (160 x 200cm).
  • Bedroom Two is a pretty twin bedroom, again with French windows opening onto the terrace and sharing a similar outlook.
  • Bedroom Three is another spacious and quiet twin bedroom, facing east towards the hilltop and swimming pool.
  • Bedroom Four is another quiet room equipped with bunk beds, suitable for children, again facing east.

The Extremely Spacious Bathroom is equipped with a huge and quite delightful corner bath and a separate shower. There is a large vanity unit with splendid mirrors and twin wash basins.

There are two Toilets with washbasins on this floor, one leading off the Main Entrance Hall and one leading off the Inner Hall. There is Laundry Room which is fully equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities.

This completes the accommodation on the upper level. From the inner hall there is a door leading to a stone stairwell within the Pigeonnier that winds down to the Lower Hall on the Garden floor. There is also an outside stone stairway (traditionally known as a ‘Bolet’ in the Quercy) that leads from the upper south terrace down to the garden terrace.

Broadband Internet WiFi access is available throughout the house.

The Garden Floor

Bedroom Five is situated in the Pigeonnier and is another charming double bedroom sharing the same dimensions and delightful outlook as Bedroom One. It has large French windows leading out onto the garden terrace. The bed is a large size double (160 x 200cm).

The Bathroom/Toilet is equipped with a bath, wash basin and toilet and leads off the Lower Hall, as does bedroom five, effectively making this a private suite.

Outside there is a covered terrace for those long, hot, lazy afternoons and another long gravel terrace that winds up to the Swimming Pool. The covered lower terrace is equipped with a full size table tennis table for those looking for a bit of sporting activity.

The Private Floodlit Swimming Pool (4m x 7m) is south facing and has Roman steps for easy access and an alarm system for safety. There are also sun-loungers around the pool and a drinks table to hold the essentials! There is a traditionally built pool house, heavily beamed, to shade those who are feeling less energetic.

The whole property is magnificently set within two acres of hillside garden with ample parking for several cars. Naturally there are hundreds of acres of countryside for some splendid walks.
